It was a pleasure to have Joe Archer from Turning Point USA speak at our last luncheon. He was such a kind young man with a lot of energy and enthusiasm to continue the work of Charlie Kirk. When Joe took on a field representative role with Turning Point USA, he successfully started 24 chapters and hubs across Northern California and Northern Nevada. His work includes developing students into strong leaders for the conservative movement and organizing large scale events. Our club donation this year will be going to Turning Point USA.

We have a couple of other important events that we are planning for, and one is our Candidate Forum in April. You will be able to meet and talk to candidates that will be running for office. You will be able to make up your mind as to whom you feel will be the best candidate.

In June we will be celebrating the United States 250 Years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776. We will have several speakers at the event to educate us about our country’s history. More information will be provided in next month’s newsletter.

Several of our members went to lunch at Karen’s Bakery in Folsom and then on to see the “Melania” movie at the Cinemax theatres. We all enjoyed her movie and we have plans to go see the next movie that Amy Scherschigt has planned for us on April 7th. The movie is titled “A Great Awakening: One Man’s Faith Ignited a Revolution” from Sight and Sound Films. Please contact Amy for more information.

Steve Hilton, candidate for CA State Governor was the guest speaker at the Sacramento Republican Party fundraiser on February 12th at the Ronald and Nancy Reagan’s Governor’s Mansion in Carmichael. Several of our members volunteered as hostesses to work the event. Thank you, ladies, for volunteering, we always have fun working together at special events.

Thank you, members and guests for attending our meetings. I hope you enjoy our speakers that we select for our monthly meetings.
