Our members and guests enjoyed our inspiring and spiritual speaker Pastor Frank Erb. He was accompanied by his lovely wife, Valerie who we enjoyed talking to and getting to know. Pastor Erb’s ministry focuses on providing personal outreach, individual discipleship and in-depth Bible-teaching for California’s government leaders. He also engages with the public, teaching in churches and groups throughout the state, and is involved in various outreach activities.
This month, we are pleased to have Assemblyman David Tangipa. He was elected to the State Assembly in 2024 and represents Assembly District 8. He is involved in several significant activities in California. He filed a federal lawsuit challenging California newly adopted congressional maps, alleging they unlawfully favor certain voters. He also is advocating for commonsense policies to protect families and support law enforcement, as well as opposing higher taxes and unnecessary regulations. He has expressed concerns about California’s agricultural policies and has been a strong defender of local farmers. These actions reflect his commitment to addressing various issues affecting California’s communities and economy.
Our CCW board is working on several speakers for our upcoming monthly meetings. Judge Maryanne Gilliard will be our speaker in May, and we are looking forward to her visit. In June we are planning on a celebration of 250 years since the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. More information about the event will be provided in next month’s newsletter.
I wish everyone a very Happy Easter with your families and friends. I will see you at the next luncheon.
God bless you,
Terri Lyn Alexander, President
